ORAL ORDER
The petitioners are repeaters in the Twelfth Standard Board exams, and they are enrolled with the third respondent. The petitioners, who had to repeat examinations in Mathematics for the academic year 2024-25, have filed this petition for directions to the second respondent [the Central Board of Secondary Education] to receive late payment of examination fee and to permit them to appear for re- examination. This Court, on 27.01.2025, subject to the outcome in this writ petition, has directed the second respondent to accept the late payment of re- examination fees from the petitioners and permit them to appear for the re-examination in Mathematics. There is due compliance even according to the learned counsel for the respondent, but the results are not announced.
Mr. M. R. Shailendra, the learned counsel for the second respondent, submits that the results are

not announced because the petitioners' participation in the re-examination is subject to the outcome of the writ petition, and when queried, the learned counsel submits that if the petitioners are not successful in this examination, for the next academic year they will have to appear for all the subjects. The petitioners' cause for the present petition is examined in the light of the difficulties pleaded to establish bona fides, and this Court is of the view that this petition must be
disposed of directing the second respondent to announce the results with liberty to the petitioners to pursue further based on the outcome in the examination.
The petition stands disposed of calling upon the second respondent to announce the results within four [4] weeks.
