16.09.2025 Court No.28 Item No.57 ssi CRM (A) 2979 of 2025 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Suraksha Nagarik Sanhita 2023. And In the matter of: Kalpana Khatun @ Kalpana Bibi ….Applicant/Petitioner Mr. Arnab Chatterjee Mr. Anisur Rahman …for the petitioner Mr. Md. Adil Badr Ms. Pallavi Priyadarshee ..for the State Heard the learned counsels for the parties. Perused the case diary. It appears that the prosecution case appears to be that the present petitioner first supplied sharp cutting weapons (hasua) to other co-accused to inflict the injury upon the victims. Afterwards, she herself along with other accused assaulted the victims. The hand of one of the victims had to be amputated from the wrist. Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
