PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of BNSS, has been filed by the petitioner/A2, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.155 of 2024 of Mangalagiri SEB Police Station. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution is that, on 09.08.2024, on credible information, Special Enforcement Inspector, Mangalagiri, along with 2 his staff and mediators, rushed Kaza toll plaza, Mangalagiri, and started conducting vehicle checking and found two cars containing 230.565 Kgs of Ganja. The contraband along with other material was seized under the cover of mediators report. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. The quantity of allegedly contraband seized from the possession of the petitioner is 230.565 KGs of Ganja which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the case is still under investigation and some more witnesses are to be examined. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, petitioner does not deserve for grant of bail at this stage. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. _____________________ K.
