After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner/appellant submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the 2025:JHHC:34984-DB writ petition itself i.e. W.P. (S) No. 793 of 2019, as the Anthropological Survey of India, during pendency of the writ petition, vide letter dated 31.01.2023 had somewhat acknowledged the appellant’s claim towards grant of revised pension by asking the Ranchi University, Ranchi to count his previous service rendered with the Anthropological Survey of India 2. Since the letter dated 31.01.2023 has been issued to the petitioner/appellant during pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner is permitted to withdraw the petition itself, with a liberty to proceed with the case with the appropriate authority on the basis of the letter/communication dated 31.01.2023 (Annexure 13 to the present appeal). Consequently, the order dated 06.03.2024 passed in W.P. (S) No. 793 of 2019 is hereby set aside. 3. It is however made clear that any observation made by the learned Writ Court shall not come in the way of the petitioner/appellant while pursuing his grievance before the competent authority. 4.
