1. This is an ofÏce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 01.12.2023, passed in MCRC No. 8152 of 2023, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Shani Pasi, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this
order, if there was no legal impediment.

4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raigarh, District-Raigarh, (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 27.12.2024 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in the present case, the statements of all prosecution witnesses have been recorded and the case is now fixed for the statement of the accused. However, due to the transfer of presiding ofÏcer, the Court of Special Judge (NDPS Act) is currently vacant. Therefore, it is not possible to conclude the trial within the stipulated time frame, hence, he prays for grant of further more time for concluding the trial.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
