Aishwarya Nagula, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri G. Vivekananda, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 2. The petitioner, who is joined the Judicial Ministerial Services as Stenographer Grade-III, being aggrieved by the proceedings of the 2nd respondent, dated 18.05.2019, wherein the petitioner is said to have been denied his promotion, had filed a departmental appeal dated 14.08.2019 before the 1st respondent vide Dis.No.2898 on 30.08.2019. 3. The petitioner has approached this Court by way of the present writ petition complaining of inaction on the part of the 1st respondent in considering and disposing of his appeal, despite passage of six years since the filing of the appeal. The petitioner also contends that various other persons, who were junior to him, were being promoted while his appeal remains pending before the 1st respondent. 4. In view of the fact that the appeal of the petitioner remains pending for the last six years, we deem it appropriate to allow the writ petition. 5. Accordingly, this writ petition is allowed directing the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the departmental appeal, filed by the petitioner, dated 14.08.2019, vide Dis.No.2898, on 30.08.2019 at the earliest, 4 RRR, J & JS, J W.P.No.31520 of 2024 and at any rate within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
