11.09.2025 Court No.28 Item No.42 ssi CRM (A) 2858 of 2025 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Suraksha Nagarik Sanhita in connection with Rajapur PS Case No.162 of 2025 dated 05.06.2025 under Sections 109/115(2)/118/126 (2)/3(5) of BNS. And In the matter of: Debjati Kayal ….Applicant/Petitioner. Mr. Subhasish Pachhal …for the petitioner Mr. Iqbal Kabir Ms. Eshita Dutta ..for the State Heard the learned counsels for the parties. Perused the case diary. It is the prosecution case that after taking some marijuana, the petitioner, a cleaner of a building complex, assaulted its manager causing permanent damage to his left ear. Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary including the injury report, the statement of the victim and the independent witness, I do not consider this is to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail to the petitioner is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
