The Present Public Interest Litigation has been filed seeking various reliefs qua embezzlement of funds of Gram Panchayat Chaplah.
2. 0n 17.03.2026, in view of the pleadings as such, we had passed the following order:-
“The perusal of petition would go on to show that the petitioner was an earlier Pradhan and Up-Pradhan of the Chaplah 1 Whether the reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment?
2 Panchayat. Besides the aforesaid in the petition, it has been averred that the petitioner is running a business of Building Material. Other then the aforementioned, the petitioner is also stated to have participated in the tender/quotation floated by the Gram Panchayat Chaplah wherein the petitioner apparently was unsuccessful and thus has approached this Court regarding the issue of embezzlement of funds of the Gram Panchayat.
2. In such circumstances, we are of the considered opinion that to show his bona fides, a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- be deposited with the Registry of this Court.”
3. Faced with this situation, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is not in a position to comply with the aforesaid order and wishes to withdraw this petition.
4. Keeping in view the controversy as such and the background of the case, we are of the considered opinion that it would not be appropriate for this Court to waste judicial time. Accordingly, we permit the petitioner to withdraw this petition. Resultantly, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

disposed of.
