Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondent and perused the material on record. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the long pendency of the proceedings in C.C.No.12498/2016 before the III Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bengaluru (for short “the Trial Court”) is causing great hardship to the petitioner, who is before this Court by way of the present petition. 4. Learned HCGP for respondent No.1- State submits that there is no merit in the petition and the same is liable to be dismissed. - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:813 CRL.P No. 13383 of 2024 5. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances and also noticing the fact that C.C.No.12498/2016 is of the year 2016 and is pending since 8 years, I deem it just and appropriate to direct the Trial Court to expedite the trial in C.C.No.12498/2016 and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
