ORAL ORDER
Heard Shri Naveed Ahmed,
learned counsel for Smt. Haleema Begum H., learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Shri Rahul Cariappa, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
02. The petitioner is the wife of the convict and is before this Court seeking her husband release on general parole for a period of 90 days. The convict gets embroiled in a crime for offences punishable under Section 302, inter alia. The convict as on today, has availed parole for seven times and is in prison for the last 14years.
03. The last time parole was granted to the convict was in the year 2021 and there is nothing adverse that is indicated against him on every time of parole that is granted and he has returned to the gaol, diligently.

04. In that light, I deem it appropriate to grant the petitioner's husband general parole for a period of 60 days to begin from 31.03.2025 to 29.05.2025.
05. For the aforesaid reasons, the following:
ORDER
(i) The Writ Petition is allowed in part.
(ii) Respondent No.2 to consider the representation of the petitioner and release the petitioner's husband on general parole for 60 days, from the forenoon of 31.03.2025, till the evening of 29.05.2025.
(iii) The respondent No.2 shall stipulate strict conditions as are usually stipulated, to ensure the return of the detenue (CTP No.6217) to the gaol and that he shall not commit any other offence during the period of general parole.
(iv) The petitioner's husband (CTP No.6217) shall mark his attendance in the jurisdictional police station, weekly once throughout the period of his general parole and it would be the responsibility of the jurisdictional police to take him to gaol, in the event, the petitioner's

husband would evade going back to the gaol, after the expiry of the period of general parole.
(v) Registry is directed to communicate this order to the respondents, by way of electronic mail, forthwith.
(vi) The petitioner is at liberty to seek extension of parole, which shall be considered looking at the conduct of the petitioner's husband – convict while he is out on general parole.
