Neutral Citation No. (2025:JHHC:38172) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 7114 of 2025 Arvind Kumar @ Arvind Nonia, aged about 30 yrs. S/o late Chatrabali Beldar, R/o Loyabad 7 No., P.O. & P.S.- Loyabad, Dist.- Dhanbad. … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Shailesh Kr. Singh, Advocate For the State : Mr. Shree Prakash Jha, A.P.P. --- 06/19.12.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. case No.361 of 2024 arising out of Loyabad P.S. Case No. 43 of 2023, for the offences registered under Sections 498A and 304B of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned ADJ-VII, Dhanbad. Bail Application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.5774 of 2024 by order dated 28.10.2024 with a direction to learned trial court shall expedite the trial. The wife of the petitioner had committed suicide in her matrimonial home within seven years of marriage. It is alleged that she was tortured to enforce the demand of dowry. While rejecting the bail application of the petitioner, this court had observed that there was material in the case diary to suggest that the deceased was having affairs elsewhere due to this fact the petitioner had chastised her. The petitioner had also assaulted her, due to which she committed suicide. Report regarding the state of trial, earlier called for, has been received. It appears that out 10 charge-sheeted witnesses, only 5 witnesses have been examined. Considering the nature of allegation and fact that there is no satisfactory progress in the trial, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned ADJ-VII, Dhanbad, in connection with S.T. case No.361 of 2024 arising out of Loyabad P.S. Case No. 43 of 2023. (Ambuj Nath, J.) December 19, 2025 Jay/-
