Mr. R K Talukdar, Learned Standing Counsel, Accountant General (A&E), Assam, appearing for the Respondent No. 4, submits that the pension proposal, received, in respect of the Petitioner, has been processed and finalized. He submits that the Pension Payment Order (PPO) bearing No. 916711342136, dated 10.07.2026, has been issued Page No.# 3/3 to the Petitioner, along with a Gratuity Payment Order (GPO) bearing No. 71234213626, dated 10.07.2026. It is submitted that copies of the same have already been forwarded to the Petitioner and the jurisdictional Treasury Officer for further requisite action in the matter. In view of the said developments, Mr. T A Choudhury, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that no further live issue arises for consideration in the present Writ Petition and accordingly, the Writ Petition may be closed. In view of the issuance of the Pension Payment Order (PPO), along with the Gratuity Payment Order (GPO) to the Petitioner, this Court holds that no further live issue arises for consideration by this Court and accordingly, the present Writ Petition stands closed. Copies of the Pension Payment Order (PPO), as well as, the Gratuity Payment Order (GPO), furnished by Mr. R K Talukdar, Learned Standing Counsel, Accountant General (A&E), Assam, are kept on record and marked as ‘X’ and ‘X1’ respectively, for the purpose of identification.
