A case has been registered aga-lnSt the Petitioners and Others for the offences under sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. The case of the prosecution iS that: on 17.9.2024 at about 2.00pm, on receipt of credible information about illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the S.I of cheedikada police station along with staff and mediators rushed to Appalarajupuram V'lllage, and while they were conducting Vehicle checking, they found one silver colour car bearing registration no.TN 01 y 1208 coming from Konam side towards Cheedikada and on seeing police the inmates in the car Stopped the Car and tr'led tO escape. Then police apprehended them who are Al and A2, and on their interrogation, they disclosed their identity part'lculars and police seized 50 kgs of ganja from them. police arrested them and got them remanded to judicial custody. - --- 2 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material available on record goes tO ShOWthatthe contraband that is allegedly seized from the possession Of the petitioners is 50 kgs of ganja. The petitioners were arrested On 17.9.2024 and since then they are in judicial remand. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that investigation is at fag end. 6. ln view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the Case, this court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioners herein, on the following conditions. (i) The petitioners/Al and A2 herein shall be released On their executing a personal bond for Rs.10,000/_ (Rupees ten thousand only) each with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Chodavaram; (ii) on release, the petitioners shall appear before the Station House Officer concerned once in a week i.e. on every Sunday between 1'0.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m., till filing of charge Sheet. 8.
