Quash the entire proceedings in C.C.No.6200/2019 against the petitioner for the offences punishable under Section 25(1b) and (B) of the ARMS Act, 1959 registered with Halasur Police Station which is pending on the file of Hon’ble 1st MMTC, Bengaluru produced at Annexure-A. B. Pass any such other orders, which this Hon’ble Court deems fit including the costs of this petition, in the interests of justice and equity.” 2. After arguing the matter for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petition may be disposed of directing the trial Court to dispose of the proceedings within stipulated time frame. 3. Having regard to the fact that the impugned proceedings is of the year 2019, I deem it fit and proper to dispose - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:3056 CRL.P No. 14344 of 2024 of the petition by directing the trial court to dispose of the said proceedings on merits within a stipulated time frame. 4. In the result, I pass the following: ORDER i. The petition is disposed of. ii. The impugned proceedings in C.C.No.6200/2019 on the file of the Metropolitan Magistrate Traffic Court-1, Mayo Hall, M.G.Road, Bengaluru shall be disposed of by the Trial Court as expeditiously as possible and preferably within five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. iii. It is made clear that all rival contentions on all aspects of the matter are kept open and no opinion is expressed on the merits/demerits of the same.
