THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR ADMISSION, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR JUSTICE S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR ORAL ORDER In this petition, petitioner has sought for the following relief:- “Wherefore, it is humbly prayed that the Hon’ble High Court be pleased to allow this Memorandum of Criminal Petition by quashing the entire proceedings in S.C.No.1181/2023 before the Court of LVI Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge at Bengaluru City, initiated as against the petitioner based on the complaint filed by respondent No.2 for offences punishable under Sections 307, 448, 504, 506 of IPC, in the interest of justice.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner-accused and learned counsel for 2nd respondent- have filed a Joint Compromise petition duly signed by the petitioner, 2nd respondent and their respective counsel and the same is taken on record. 3. Petitioner-accused and respondent No.2 are physically present before the Court and they admit the contents of the joint compromise petition, which reads as under:- - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:2003 CRL.P No. 13492 of 2024 “Joint Compromise Petition/Application for Compounding Offence under Section 320 r/w Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 It is respectfully submitted as follows:- 1. That the petitioner in the above case that is accused/sole accused in S.C No.1181/2023 registered by Govindaraja Nagar Police pending in the Court of LVI Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge at Bengaluru City [CCH-57], initiated as against the petitioner based on the complaint filed by respondent No.2 for offenses punishable under sections 307, 448, 504, 506 of I.P.C. The accused in the above case and the complainant have compromised and settled the above matter out of the court due to the intervention of the well-wishers and friends of both parties and thus the complainant/ respondent No. 2 does not wish to continue with the above case as against the petitioner in the above criminal petition. 2. It is submitted that the Petitioner/Accused/sole accused and the complainant/ Respondent No.2 have compromised and settled the above case out of court and they have got no claim against each other. Further both the parties shall have no right to institute any proceedings/case before the court of law as against each other. In view of the aforesaid compromise entered into between the petitioner and 2nd respondent, the impugned proceedings in S.C.No.1181/2023 pending on the file of LVI Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge, Bengaluru City, qua the petitioner are hereby quashed. 5.
