In continuation of our earlier order dated 18.08.2025, Ms Maria Correia, learned Additional Government Advocate representing the State Government and also the Directorate of Education along with the Assistant District Education Inspector has instructions to make a categorical statement that the Circular dated 13.12.2022 issued by the Directorate of Education in the light of the provisions of NEP 2020 and the RTE Act, 2009, is implemented from this year i.e. 2025-2026. She countered the submission of the petitioner in person that there is a postponement of this policy from the year 2026-2027. 20th August, 2025 2025:BHC-GOA:1562-DB WP 306 of 2025 2. By recording the aforesaid statement, since now the criteria for admission to the first standard would be six years and above, and the child of the petitioner No.2 do not fulfill the said criteria, we do not deem it to entertain the petitioner and his grievance. Needless to state that the petitioners are at liberty to secure admission in any school which permit such admission, even considering the age below six years. The writ petition stands disposed of.
