1. The petitioner has filed the present writ petition claiming the following relief(s):-
“10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondent no.2 to provide proforma seniority to the petitioner on the post of Lecture w.e.f. 02.12.2014 and further to decide the representation of the petitioner. 10.2 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief as it may deems fit and appropriate.” Digitally signed by MOHAMMED AADIL KHAN Date: 2025.09.03 10:31:02 +0530

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was promoted on the post of Lecturer vide order dated 07-09-2018, whereas the other lecturers promoted in the department they were given seniority from 02-12-2014 and claiming his seniority at par over the lecturers who were given benefit of seniority from 02-12-2014 he made his representation to respondent No.2 on 18-03- 2024 for grant of proforma seniority from 02-12-2014, but till date his representation has not been decided by respondent No.2. Therefore, respondent No.2 may be
directed to take a decision on the pending representation of the petitioner dated 18- 03-2024 (Annexure-P/5) in accordance with law within a stipulated period.
3. On the other hand, learned counsel appearing for the State though opposes on merits, however he would submit that he has no objection if such a direction is given to respondent No.2 to take a decision on the pending representation of the petitioner dated 18-03-2024 in accordance with law.

Considering the limited submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ petition is disposed of directing respondent No.2 to take a decision on the pending representation of the petitioner dated 18-03-2024 (Annexure-P/5) in accordance with law on its own merit as per the applicable rules and circulars within 90 days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. The petitioner is directed to produce a copy of this order within two weeks from today to respondent No.2.
6. With the aforesaid observation the present writ petition is disposed of.
