PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following JUDGMENT: This Criminal Appeal has been preferred against the conviction and sentence passed in the Judgment dated 17.04.2008 in C.C.No.31 of 2004 by the learned Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, City Civil Court, Hyderabad. 2 2. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, it is submitted by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the appellant that during the pendency of the present appeal, the appellant/accused passed away and none of his legal heirs is in contact with him. 3. On the other hand, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent/State submitted that the appellant passed away on 16.07.2020. A memo dated 27.03.2025 is filed along with the death certificate of the appellant dated 20.07.2020 issued by the Department of Health, Medical and Family Welfare, Grama Panchayat, Dhaniyanicheruvu, showing that the appellant died on 16.07.2020. No application is filed by the LRs to come on record. 4. In view of the said reason, the Criminal Appeal is dismissed as abated.
