IN THE HIGH COURT OF HIMACHAL PRADESH, SHIMLA CWP No.20775 of 2025 Date of Decision: 30.12.2025 _____________________________________________________________________ Gagandeep Sharma & Ors. ……...Petitioners Versus State of Himachal Pradesh & Ors.
…....Respondents Coram Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Sharma, Judge. Whether approved for reporting? For the Petitioners: Mr. Rajat Kumar & Mr. Anniket Bhaik, Advocates. For the respondents: Mr. Rajan Kahol, Additional Advocate General with Mr. Ravi Chauhan & Mr. Anish Banshtu, Deputy Advocates General. ___________________________________________________________________________ Sandeep Sharma, J. (Oral) Precisely, the grouse of the petitioners, as has been highlighted in the petition and further canvassed by learned counsel representing the petitioners is that though respondents, after having considered the case of the petitioners in light of Mohit Sharma’s case, have granted them higher stage of pay, but till date consequential benefits have not been released.
2. Having regard to the nature of prayer and order proposed to be passed in the instant petition, this Court sees no necessity to call for the reply from the respondents, who are otherwise represented by
Mr. Ravi Chauhan, learned Deputy Advocate General. Mr. Chauhan, fairly states that consequential benefits, on account of higher stage of pay, if not already released, shall be released in favour of the petitioners expeditiously.
3. Consequently, in view of fair stand adopted by learned Deputy Advocate General, this Court sees no necessity to keep the present petition alive and accordingly, the same is allowed. However, respondents are directed to ensure that consequential benefits, on account of higher stage of pay, if not already released, shall be released in favour of the petitioners expeditiously, preferably within three months from today. Pending application(s), if any, stand disposed of. December 30, 2025 (Sandeep Sharma), (sunil)
