Counsel for the petitioner is permitted to implead District Panchayat Raj Officer, Muzaffar Nagar as Respondent No. 7 in the writ petition during the course of the day. 2. The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition inter-alias with the following prayers:- "(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents authority to issue the Family Register as well as Succession Certificate to the petitioner, within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court. (ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 24.2.2025 (Annexure No.11 to this writ petition) within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court." 3. It is argued by the counsel for the petitioner that on the representation submitted by the petitioner for the grant of Family Register as well as Succession Certificate, a letter dated 21.02.2025 was written by the Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat), Morna District Muzaffar Nagar to the District Panchayat Raj Officer, Muzaffar Nagar in the letter No. 523/2024-25, copy of which is appended at page- 66 to the paper book. 4. In the aforesaid letter after recording certain findings a request was made by the Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat), Morna District Muzaffar Nagar to the District Panchayat Raj Officer, Muzaffar Nagar to do the needful in the matter. 5. It is argued that though considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no decision has been taken by the District Panchayat Raj Officer, Muzaffar Nagar. 6. In this view of the matter and also in the interest of justice, the writ petition is disposed of finally directing the Respondent No.7 namely District Panchayat Raj Officer, Muzaffar Nagar to take a decision on the aforesaid letter, most expeditiously and preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of presentation of certified copy of this order. Counsel for the petitioner is further directed to place all the material facts and documents before the District Panchayat Raj Officer, Muzaffar Nagar including the letter dated 21.02.2025 along-with the certified copy of this order.
