The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Potka P.S. Case No. 88 of 2024, corresponding to G.R. Case No.531 of 2025, S.T. Case No.212 of 2025, for the offence under Sections 103(1) and 3(7) of the B.N.S., 2023 and cognizance has been taken under Section 108 of B.N.S., pending in the court of Smt. Manju Kumari, learned Additional Sessions Judge-V, Jamshedpur. Petitioner happens to be the husband of the deceased Shivani Murmu, who died in her matrimonial home in mysterious circumstances. From perusal of the postmortem report, it appears that deceased had sustained as many as six external injuries. There were also four contusions on her forehead. It was submitted that the police has submitted chargesheet under Section 108 of the B.N.S. This appears to be a case where the deceased was murdered in her matrimonial home. In view of the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is hereby rejected. (Ambuj Nath, J.) November 04, 2025 BS/-
