Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Muffasil P.S. Case No. 25 of 2025, for the offence under Sections 316(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 341(1) and 61(2) of B.N.S., pending in the court of learned C.J.M., West Singhbhum at Chaibasa.
It appears that on 04.02.2025, Rs.91,49,300/- was transferred to the account of the petitioner. The said money belonged to Chaibasa college. Petitioner withdrew Rs.13,30,000/- from the said account.
It was submitted that petitioner had returned the amount, which was withdrawn by him. It was further submitted that his account was frozen with the remaining amount.
Learned counsel for the State has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that petitioner allowed his account to be used by several criminals by taking commission.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner further submitted that petitioner is in custody since 24.02.2025. It was finally submitted that the bail applications of the co-accused persons have been rejected by the Coordinate Bench of this Court.
Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected, at this stage.
