Petitioners, through the medium of this contempt petition under Section 12 of Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, seek to initiate contempt proceeding against the respondent for non compliance of order dated 23.11.2020 passed by this Court. Crl CP No.5/2021 2. A bare perusal of the order sheets of the instant contempt petition reveals that notice to the respondent has not been served yet, despite several opportunities were granted to the petitioners for service of notice. Even the petitioners were given time to lay a motion to serve the respondent through substituted mode of service vide order dated 06.12.2021, which they have chosen not to do as of now. 3. At this stage, Mr. Amit Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that this contempt petition has been rendered infructuous as the marriage between the petitioner No.1 and respondent has been dissolved with their mutual consent in terms of judgment and decree dated 23.08.2025 passed by the Family Court, Jammu. He prays for withdrawal of instant contempt petition. His statement is taken on record. 4.
