Jyotsna Rewal Dua , J Pursuant to the detailed order passed in this writ petition on 27.11.2025, learned Assistant Advocate General has now placed on record fresh office instructions dated 29.11.2025 issued by the Director General of Police, H.P. As per these instructions, ‘in compliance with the order dated 27.11.2025 passed in this writ petition, a fresh Medical Board was constituted in terms of Clause ‘G’ of the recruitment notification for measuring the height of the 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? yes 2 petitioner, and the Medical Board re-measured petitioner’s height on 28.11.2025 as 5’07’’ (i.e. 170.18cm).’ Learned Assistant Advocate General states that consequential action based on the re-measured height of the petitioner shall be taken latest by 11:00 A.M. on 02.12.2025. Learned counsel for respondent No.3 assures that the consequential action pursuant to the communication to be issued by respondents No.1, 2 & 4 shall be taken within one week thereafter. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the two main grievances of the petitioner raised in this writ petition now stand redressed, petition be closed at this stage, however, liberty be reserved to the petitioner to seek appropriate remedy for redressal of grievance raised in prayer clause (e) in accordance with law at an appropriate stage.
