The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs :- “(a) for issuance of an appropriate writ/ order/ direction(s) upon respondents particularly upon respondent no.3 for the issuance of license to the - 1 - W.P.(C) No.6015 of 2025 2025:JHHC:35100 petitioners as Deed Writers as they are writing Deeds in the office of the respondent no.5 since long (more than 10 years).. (b) during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioners be allowed to continue to write Deeds.” 2. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the the petitioners are the Deed Writers and they are doing the said work since longs in the office of the respondent No.5. In para – 5 of the writ petition, the details of the petitioners have been shown in tabular chart, which is as follows :- Sl. Learned counsel for the petitioners has relied upon the rules of the Bihar Deed Writers Licensing Rules, 1996. 3. It has further been submitted that the similarly situated persons had approached this court and the Co- ordinate Bench of this court vide order dated 18.06.2025, passed in W.P.(C) No.2180 of 2025, has held that the passing of an examination is not a mandatory criteria. 4. Be that as it may. The application of the petitioners is still pending with the authority and no decision has been taken as yet. 5. In that view of the matter, present writ petition is - 2 - W.P.(C) No.6015 of 2025 2025:JHHC:35100 hereby disposed of directing the respondent No.3, i.e., the Deputy Commissioner -cum- District Registrar, Bokaro, to decide the claim of the petitioners in accordance with law within six weeks from the date of receipt/ production of copy of this order. 6.
