1. his is an application seeking modiication of Judgment dated 06.05.2024 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.359/2024. By the said Judgment, this Court had set aside the communication dated 17.11.2023 and had directed the appropriate authority under the Citizenship Act to consider the petitioners’ fresh application for obtaining an OCI Card/registration within a period of four weeks. Mr Pravin Faldessai, learned Deputy Solicitor General of India appearing for 28th March 2025
1-MCA-464-24.DOC the applicants submits that subsequent to this Judgment, the original petitioner was conferred an OCI Card on 08.11.2024.
2. he present application seeks a modiication of our
Judgment dated 06.05.2024 on the basis that a subsequent clariicatory corrigendum dated 30.04.2024 came to be issued by the Ministry of External Afairs clarifying OM dated 04.04.2024; however, at the time of the disposal of the petition, inadvertently, the clariicatory corrigendum dated 30.04.2024 was not placed before this Court and considered whilst disposing of the petition.
3. Be that as it may, the fact of the matter is that the original petitioner has been granted the OCI Card vide order dated
08.11.2024. In that view of the matter, no further modiication needs to be issued to our Judgment dated 06.05.2024.
4. he Misc. Civil Application No.464/2024 therefore stands
disposed of.
