( 2025:JHHC:30798 ) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 3977 of 2025 ------- Shubham Singh @ Subham Singh, aged about 21 years, son of Mithlesh Singh, resident of village Barun, P.O. & P.S. Barun, District Aurangabad, Bihar. …... …. Petitioner(s) Versus The State of Jharkhand .…. …. Opp. Party -------- CORAM : HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH -------- For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Mukesh Kumar Mehta, Advocate For the State : Mr. Shashi Kumar Verma, A.P. P. -------- 04/ Dated 06.10.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Hussainabad P.S. Case No. 258 of 2024, for the offence registered under Sections 103, 3(5) & 61(2) of B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 25(1-b)a/27 of the Arms Act, pending in the court of learned S.D.J.M., Palamau at Daltonganj. Sister of the informant namely Puja Kumari was shot dead by two unknown persons near Chhotelal Rajak Hotel, Harihar chowk. During the course of investigation, it transpired that the husband of the deceased had conspired to commit her murder. It further transpired that the name of the petitioner has come in the confessional statement of the husband of the deceased Sandeep Singh. It was submitted that apart from suspicion, there is no other material against the petitioner on record. Learned A.P.P on behalf of the State has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that the bail application of co-accused Sandeep Singh @ Sandip Singh has earlier been rejected by this Court. Considering the fact that apart from suspicion, there is no other material against the petitioner on record, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned S.D.J.M., Palamau at Daltonganj, in connection with Hussainabad P.S. Case No. 258 of 2024. (Ambuj Nath, J.) 06th October, 2025 BS/-
