The present Writ Petition is filed for non-payment of bills for the work executed by the petitioner. Learned Government Pleader has furnished proceedings issued by the Executive Engineer, RWS & S Division, Ongole, to the office of the Government Pleader, dated 04.02.2025, and it shall form part of the record. 3. As seen from the said proceedings, in the remarks column, it is asserted that as per the billing M.Book, total value of the work done 4. ▼ 2 arrived for Rs. 10,29,422/- and further an amount of Rs.4,88,781/- was already paid to the petitioner and the FTOs for remaining amount of Rs.5,40,641/- was uploaded in MGNREGS site and the status of the FTOs is “To be sent to Bank” pending for clearance in MGNREGS site. On careful examination of the said proceedings, the respondents have not disputed about the execution of the work and the payment of amount due to the petitioner herein. Therefore, this Court is inclined to dispose of the Writ Petition, directing the respondents to pay the amount due to the petitioner herein within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. Failing to pay the amount due to the petitioner, the petitioner is entitled to interest at the rate of 6% per annum from the date of Writ Petition till the date of realization. 5. 7.
