Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) By way of this petition, the petitioner has, inter alia, prayed for the following reliefs:- A. “Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ of mandamus for quashing of the demand notice dated 13.11.2025 (Annexure P-7) with further direction to the respondent to install the prepaid meter in terms of Section 47 (5) of the electricity Act, 2003. B. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the respondent to calculate and refund the security along with the applicable rate of Interest in terms of Section 47 (4) of the Electricity Act, 2003. C. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ directing the Respondent to install the prepaid meter in terms of Section 47 (5) of the electricity Act, 2003 and give all consequential benefits of the 3% & 1.5% rebate in terms of Tariff Order for FY 2022-2025 from the date the petitioner showed its prepaid-ness towards the installation of the prepaid meter.” 2 2. When the case was taken up for consideration, the Court stands informed that the issue is no more res-integra and it is covered by the judgment of the Hon'ble Coordinate Bench passed in CWP No.4345 of 2023, titled as M/s Vardhman Ispat Udyog versus Himachal Pradesh State of Electricity Board Limited and other connected matters. 3. In the light of the fact that the controversy raised in this petition being squarely covered in terms of the judgment of the Hon'ble Coordinate Bench has not been disputed by the respondents, this petition is disposed of with the observation that the direction passed by the Hon'ble Coordinate Bench be construed to have been passed in this writ petition also mutatis mutandi and all directions Issued therein should be read as having been passed in the present petition also. 4.
