Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Ratu P.S. Case No. 344 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 316(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 303(2) and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, pending in the court of Sri R.K. Pandey, learned Judicial Magistrate, Ranchi. Bail Application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.1400 of 2025 by order dated 12.03.2025 at that stage. On 05.10.2024, the Informant had sent consignment of 49 tonnes of iron rod on two trucks bearing registration no. JH 02AW- 6964 and NL 02Q -9250. Petitioner is said to be the driver of the truck bearing registration no. JH 02AW- 6964. The consignment which was loaded on the truck of the petitioner never reached its destination. It is alleged that the petitioner had handed over the consignment to one Shamim Khan who gave him Rs. 50,000/-. It was submitted that the petitioner is in custody since 24.10.2024. It was further submitted that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent. Considering the period of custody, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri R.K.
