( 2025:JHHC:30787 ) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 3148 of 2025 ------- Madan Gorain, aged about 25 years, son of Ayan Gorain @ Nuni Gopal Gorain, resident of village Saluka, P.O. & P.S. Bindapathar, District Jamtara. …... …. Petitioner(s) Versus The State of Jharkhand .…. …. Opp. Party -------- CORAM : HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH -------- For the Petitioner(s) : Mr. Kaushik Sarkhel, Advocate For the State : Mrs. Bandana Sinha, A.P. P. For the Informant : Mr. Avishek Chandra, Advocate -------- 05/ Dated 06.10.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Bindapathar P.S. Case No. 64 of 2023, corresponding to G.R. Case No.426 of 2023, for the offence registered under Sections 147, 149, 323, 325, 307, 302, 506 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamtara. On 10.09.2023 at about 4:30 p.m., the petitioner alongwith co-accused persons are said to have assaulted the father-in-law, husband and mother-in-law of the informant, causing injuries. It appears that the father- in-law of the informant was again assaulted due to which he succumbed to his injuries. It was submitted that similarly situated co-accused Sadhan Gorain @ Mandal has been granted bail by this Court earlier. Mr. Avishek Chandra, learned counsel for the informant has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail. Considering the fact that co-accused has been granted bail by this Court earlier, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jamtara, in connection with Bindapathar P.S. Case No. 64 of 2023, corresponding to G.R. Case No.426 of 2023. (Ambuj Nath, J.) 06th October, 2025 BS/-
