Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Gumla P.S. Case No. 215 of 2023, S.T. Case No.243 of 2024, for the offence under Sections 147, 148, 149, 302 & 201 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-II, Gumla.
Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.10231/2024, by order dated 11.02.2025.
On 29.06.2023 at about 11.00 p.m., Informant Puti Devi was present in her house alongwith her son Durga Khariya, when the petitioner and other co-accused persons abducted her son. Thereafter, his dead body was recovered from a place near Ledha Tesha Tongri.
Report regarding the stage of the trial and the time required for its conclusion, earlier called for, has been received. It appears that charge has been framed in this case on 05.03.2025. It further appears that out of nine charge sheeted witnesses, no witness has been examined.
In view of the aforesaid fact, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail is hereby rejected.
Learned Trial Court shall take all possible steps to conclude the trial at the earliest.
