Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Maheshpur P.S. Case No. 132 of 2024, for the offences registered under Section 85 of the B.N.S., 2023 and Sections 3 /4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, pending in the Court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Pakur. Petitioner happens to be the husband of the informant. It is alleged that she was tortured to enforce the demand of dowry. It was submitted that informant has not sustained any injury at the hands of the petitioner. It was further submitted that petitioner is in custody since 29.09.2024. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Pakur, in connection with Maheshpur P.S.
