GP FOR REVENUE The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer: “….to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondent authorities in initiating the appropriate action to stop/prevent the cock-fights in several villages such like Kothru Tadepalle, Vemavaram and surrounding villages and Mandals of NTR District, as illegal, arbitrary, contrary to law and violation of principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondent authorities to take appropriate and stringent action against the culprits to stop the cock-fights and betting and other illegal activities in several villages such like Kothru Tadepalle, Vemavaram and surrounding villages and Mandals of NTR District, and pass….” 2. Heard Sri B.Rama Shankar Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri V.Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the respondent authorities are not taking any steps to stop/prevent the cock-fights. Learned counsel would further submit that Court may direct the respondent authorities to follow the directions of this Court in W.P.(PIL) Nos.320 of 2014 and 177 of 2016. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader is also in attendance and would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 5. Considering the submissions made, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the police to follow the directions of Hon’ble Division Bench of this Court in W.P(PIL)Nos.320 of 2014 and 177 of 2016. There shall be no order as to costs.
