The petitioner is challenging the inaction on the part of respondents 1 to 3 in considering case of the petitioner for promotion as Superintendent and he challenged the proceedings, dated 17.08.2012, whereby the respondents 4 to 12 were promoted as Superintendents. 2. The petitioner was aged 56 years when the writ petition was filed and by now he would attain the age of superannuation. 3. Considering the law laid down by the Apex Court in its recent judgment, dated 27.11.2024, passed in the matter of the State of West Bengal and others v. Dr. Amal Satpathi and others1, the grievance of the petitioner for considering him promotion and seniority after attaining the age of superannuation cannot be considered by this Court. 4.
