Sl.No. 7 Court No. 35 G.S.Das 13.08.2025 WPA 17645 of 2025 Sabina Yeasmin Bagani -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors. Mr. Sk. Moinuddin … for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Lalit Mohan Mahata, ld. AGP Mr. Santimay Bhattacharyya Mr. Ziaul Haque … for the State – Respondent(s) Re The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that inspite of Baruipur PS Case No. 1820 of 2024 having been registered for investigation, the police authorities did not take any proper steps and the petitioner being the complainant suffered injuries and was manhandled/molested by the private respondents. State has submitted a report which reflects that already in connection with the aforesaid criminal case, charge- sheet was submitted on or about 13th November, 2024. The report depicts that some of the accused persons have been arraigned in the charge-sheet and some of the accused persons have been discharged and, subsequently, charge-sheet was submitted. In view of the jurisdictional criminal court in seisin of the criminal case, I am of the opinion that if the petitioner is aggrieved with the outcome of the investigation, he would prefer an appropriate application under the relevant provisions of law for further investigation. If such an application is filed, the learned Magistrate would take efforts so that the same is disposed of within a period of 60 days. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 17645 of 2025 is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Report so submitted be kept with the record. A copy of the report be handed over to the petitioner. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
