Heard the parties.
Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Rania P.S. Case No. 61 of 2023 corresponding to G.R. No. 05 of 2024 for the offences registered under sections 25(1-A)/25(1-B)a/25(6)/26/35 of Arms Act and section 17 of C.L.A. Act, pending in the court of Smt. Vidyawati Kumari, learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Khunti. On 05.11.2023 at about 8.35 p.m., Rania Police on the basis of confidential information that ultras belonging to PLFI cadre have assembled at Hillock near Kusum toli, raided the place of occurrence and apprehended several accused persons. On search, arms and ammunition were recovered from their possession. Mr. K. S. Nanda, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that 20 live cartridges are said to have been recovered from the possession of the petitioner. It was further submitted that petitioner is in custody for more than one year. It was finally submitted that co-accused Guru Prasad Mahto @ Bhusan @ Guru has been granted bail by this Court vide B.A. No.3364 of
2024.
Considering the period of custody, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Smt. Vidyawati Kumari, learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Khunti or her successor, in connection with Rania P.S. Case No. 61 of 2023 corresponding to G.R. No. 05 of 2024.
