Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Daltonganj Sadar P.S. Case No. 49 of 2025, for the offences registered under Section 96 of the B.N.S., 2023, pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Palamau. Petitioner is alleged to have enticed away the daughter of the informant to leave her lawful guardianship on the pretext of marriage. Statement of the victim has been recorded under Section 183 of the B.N.S.S., in which she has stated that she has left her lawful guardship according to her own wish. She has also stated that the petitioner has promised to marry her and they also established consensual physical relationship. The age of the victim has been assessed to be 17 ½ years. This appears to be a case of adolescent love affair between the parties. In view of the submissions made above, I am inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Palamau, in connection with Daltonganj Sadar P.S. Case No. 49 of 2025.
