MEHTA, JJ. DATED :- 4th March, 2025 P.C. Heard Mr. Padgaonkar learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr. Faldessai learned Additional Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the appeal was initially filed before the wrong forum and subsequently, the appeal was filed before the Chief Secretary on 16/08/2023. The appeal has now been transferred to His Excellancy, the Hon'ble Governor on 01/12/2023 for consideration. 2. We are not inclined to fix a time frame within which the appeal should be decided. Suffice it to observe that depending on the priority of its business, the Hon'ble Governor can always consider the request 4th March, 2025 WP 78 of 2025 made by the petitioner for expediting the appeal. In any case, Mr. Faldessai submitted that there is no reason why the petitioner's appeal will be unnecessarily kept pending. He submits that it is always the endeavor to decide the appeals expeditiously. 3. In this view of the matter, we can only request His Excellency, the Hon'ble Governor consider expediting the appeal, preferably within a period of six months from today.
