Heard the parties.
The petitioners have been made accused in connection with Herhanj P.S. Case No. 08 of 2025, for the offence registered under Sections 17, 18 and 29 of N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of learned Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Latehar.
On 30.01.2025, Herhanj Police on the basis of confidential information that illegal poppy was being cultivated at village Katang, raided the place of occurrence and destructed the poppy cultivation.
It was submitted that the name of the petitioners had transpired on the basis of a secret information given by the police informer. It was further submitted that other co-accused has been granted bail by a Coordinate Bench of this Court in B.A. No.3625/2025.
In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioners, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioners, named above, are directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) each with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Special Judge, N.D.P.S., Latehar, in connection with Herhanj P.S. Case No. 08 of 2025.
