JUDGMENT

By means of the instant petition, the petitioners seek the following reliefs:-
“i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission for cutting the dry Kail trees without further delay and decide the representation of petitioner (Annexure No.7). ii. Issue any other writ, order or direction which this Hon’ble Court deems fit and proper. And award Cost of the Petition.”

Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record.

It is the case of the petitioner that there are some dry trees standing on the land of the petitioner. He had applied for cutting those trees. Inspection has been done, but still the respondent no.2 is not taking any decision. He would refer to Annexure No.7 to the writ
2 petition. In fact, last time a communication was sent by the petitioner on 07.01.2025 (Annexure No.7 to the writ petition).

Learned State counsel would submit that the respondent no.2 may take a decision on Annexure No.7 to the writ petition within a period of two months.

The Court takes on record the statement given by the learned State counsel.

The respondent no.2 is directed to take a decision on Annexure No.7 to the writ petition, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from today.

With the above observation, the petition stands
disposed of.
