Petitioner has been made an accused in connection with Lesliganj P.S. Case No. 82/2024, for the offences registered under Sections 189(4), 189(5), 190, 191(2), 191(3), 125, 126, 127, 115(2), 109, 132, 117(2), 285, 221, 324(5), 324(6) & 326 of the B.N.S., 2023 and Section 3(2)(D) of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Palamau. On 15.07.2024, it is alleged that a bus bearing registration no. JH03Y-5971 dashed a tempo, due to which two passengers died and several co-passengers got injured. It is further alleged that a mob of five hundred persons set the bus on fire and assaulted the driver of the said bus, due to which he succumbed to his injuries. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that there is general and omnibus allegation against the accused persons including the petitioner. It appears that similarly situated co-accused persons have been granted bail by this court earlier. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail but has not disputed the aforesaid facts. Regard being had to the facts and circumstance of the case, the petitioner named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Palamau in connection with Lesliganj P.S.
