In the present petition, the petitioner has challenged the order dated 13.06.2024 (Annexure P-7) whereby, the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment has been declined on the ground that the petitioner being married daughter was not covered under the Compassionate Apointment Policy/Instructions dated 21.11.2002. 2. Learned counsel for the respondents-PSPCL has very fairly contended that in fact an amendment has been made in the Policy dated 21.11.2002 on 29.01.2024 whereby, the petitioner has been made eligible for grant of compassionate appointment. He further submits that the case of the DINESH 2025.04.03 04:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CWP-9485 of 2025 (O&M) 2 petitioner will be reconsidered in accordance with the amended policy for the purpose of compassionate appointment. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the statement given by learned counsel for the respondents, the present writ petition may be disposed of and a direction to the respondents may be issued to decide the case of the petitioner in a time bound manner for the purpose of grant of compassionate appointment. 4. Learned counsel for the respondents does not oppose the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 5. In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the case of the petitioner in accordance with law preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
