Neutral Citation No. (2025:JHHC:32128) IN THE HIGH COURT OF JHARKHAND AT RANCHI B.A. No. 9352 of 2025 Deepa Devi, aged about 35 years, wife of late Raju Mohanty, resident of Gandhi Nagar, Near Sakhla Maidan, P.O. & P.S.- Bagbera, District- East Singhbhum, Jharkhand … Petitioner - Versus - The State of Jharkhand … Opp. Party ------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH ----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Saurav Kumar, Advocate For the State : Mr. Saket Kumar, A.P.P. --- 02/16.10.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with S.T. Case No.482 of 2022 arising out of Bagbera P.S. Case No. 39 of 2022, corresponding to G.R. Case No.845 of 2022, for the offences registered under Sections 302/34 of the I.P.C., pending in the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, Jamshedpur. Bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected by this Court vide B.A. No.265 of 2025 by order dated 17.01.2025. The petitioner was having illicit relationship with her tenant Jitendra Kumar. On 11.03.2022, husband and father-in-law of the petitioner were found murdered in her matrimonial home. They were strangulated to death. It was submitted that petitioner is in custody more than three years. It was further submitted that prosecution has examined six witnesses in this case. Considering the nature of allegation and fact that the trial is under progress, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, her prayer for bail stands rejected. Learned trial court shall expedite the trial. (Ambuj Nath, J.) October 16, 2025 Jay/-
