Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that against the order of punishment of Censor and the order that the petitioner will not be entitled to his full salary for the period which he was kept under suspension, the petitioner has preferred a Departmental Appeal. The Departmental Appeal is still pending before the authorities. Petitioner submits that suffice it would be if a direction is given to the Appellate Authority to dispose of the appeal.

Learned counsel for the State submits that if the appeal is still pending, the respondents will take a decision and will pass a detail
order.
4. Considering the fact that the Departmental Appeal is still pending, I direct the Appellate Authority/ Commissioner, Santhal Pargana Dumka to dispose of the Departmental Appeal of the
petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. He will also consider whether the punishment is disproportionate to the proved misconduct or not.
5. A copy of this order should be handed over to the petitioner.
6. With the aforesaid observation, the instant writ petition stands
disposed of.
