1. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners prays that the present writ petition may be disposed of directing the petitioners to move their representation before respondents No.2 and 3 and in such eventuality respondent No.2 and 3 shall take a decision on the representation of the petitioners for grant of out of turn promotion from the post of Assistant Sub- Inspector to Sub Inspector. 2. According to the petitioners, the petitioners have also actively participated in the same naxalite operation in the year 2024 and vide order dated 29-05- 2025 the other Constables who have participated in the same naxalite operation whose names are placed at Serial No.104, 105, 106 have been promoted from the post of Head Constable to Assistant Sub-Inspector and the Constables whose name are mentioned at Sl.
No.107 and 108 have been promoted from the post of Constable to Head Constable and the petitioners have also participated in the same naxalite operation, but their names have been left out from the said promotion order against which they are willing to move representation to respondents No.2 and 3 and for that they sought direction to the authorities concerned. 3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State has no objection if direction is given to the authorities concerned to decide the representation of the petitioners in accordance with law. 4. Considering the limited submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioners to move their representation before respondents No.2 and 3 and in such eventuality, the respondents No.2 and 3 are directed to take a decision on the representation(s) of the petitioners in accordance with law on its own
3 merits in view of the circulars and applicable rules holding the field and also after due verification of the service record of the petitioners within 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the representation. 5. With the aforesaid observation, the present writ petition is disposed of. Sd/-
