PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A11, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.79 of 2024 of Anantha Giri Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju district. 2 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 111(2)(b) of BNS 2023 and 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C) and 25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 22.11.2024, at 3.00 a.m., the Sub-Inspector of Police, Ananthagiri Police Station, along with his staff, while conducting vehicle checking at Ananthagiri main road, found the petitioner/A11 along with others in possession and illegal transportation of 100 Kgs of Ganja in two Swift cars. On seeing the police party, some persons travelling in the cars escaped from the spot. The contraband along with the vehicles and other material was seized and a case has been registered against the accused. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent/State and perused the record. 5. The quantity of contraband allegedly seized from the possession of the accused is 100 Kgs of Ganja, which is a 3 commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the investigation is not yet completed. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner herein. 6.
