1. This is an office reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 28.08.2024, passed in MCRC No. 6000 of 2024, while rejecting the bail to the petitioner, namely, Vivek Kumar Gupta, had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of 06 months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of the order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. Earlier on occasion also, this Court had granted extension of time for RAJSHEKHAR SONI Digitally signed by RAJSHEKHAR SONI
2 conclusion of the trial vide order dated 05.03.2025 in CRMP No.798/2025.
4. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Ramanujganj, District – Balrampur-Ramanujganj (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 27.05.2025 has requested for grant of one month’s time for concluding the trial.
5. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that the present case is at the stage of recording of the defence witness, and defence witness are yet to be recorded before the trial Court. The trial is likely to take some time for its conclusion. Hence, he prays for grant of one month’s time for concluding the trial.
6. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of one month from today.
7. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction.
8. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
