Today also, there is no representation for the petitioner. 2. Learned counsel for the respondents on counter submitted that, the authorities have passed orders on the petitioner’s representation and initiated land acquisition proceedings. The said counter copy was returned however, it was placed on record. As such, the orders of this Court have been complied with and there remains nothing for adjudication and prayed to close the contempt case. 3. A perusal of the counter which is placed on record goes to show that upon the representation, the petitioner was given an opportunity wherein he submitted written statement before the authorities and the Preliminary Notification had been published and as no objections were received, a Speaking order dated 26.04.2025 was issued stating that the petitioner is 3 eligible for compensation. Further, it states that the Special Collector (LA), G.N.S.S., Kadapa, YSR District has approved the Draft Declaration Proposals vide proceedings dated 02.05.2025 and the Special Deputy collector(LA), Somasila Project, Unit-IV, Rajampet has sent for valuation of structure to the Executive Engineer, SP Division No.IV, Atmakur, SPSR Nellore District on 26.04.2025 and the same is awaiting and further necessary steps will be taken for completion of the remaining LA process at an early date. However, the authorities have tendered unconditional apology for the delay caused in implementing the orders of this Court and submitted that the said mistake was neither willful nor wanton. As the respondent authorities have taken steps on the petitioner’s representation, the contempt case is liable to be closed. Accordingly, the contempt case is closed. However, if the petitioner feels that there is contempt, he is at liberty to file appropriate application in accordance with law. No costs.
