Sharma, learned Additional Advocate General, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. 2. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard at this stage. 3. It has been submitted for the petitioner that Sh. Durga Ram-petitioner’s father died in harness on 13.03.2016 while serving as Beldar in the respondent- Public Works Department. Petitioner applied for 1Whether reporters of print and electronic media may be allowed to see the order? Yes. 2 employment on compassionate grounds on 05.09.2017 in accordance with law. Petitioner’s grievance is that till date his case for employment on compassionate grounds has not been processed and decided by the respondents despite repeated representations preferred by him. The petitioner had lastly represented to the respondents for deciding his long pending case for employment on compassionate grounds on 08.09.2025. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner would be satisfied in case the respondents/competent authority(s) are directed to decide his case for employment on compassionate grounds within a fixed time schedule. Learned Additional Advocate General is not averse to this prayer. 4. Having regard to the afore-submissions, but without examining the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to the respondents/ competent authority to consider and decide the case of the petitioner for employment on compassionate grounds in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from today. All necessary formalities/requisition of documents for deciding the case of the petitioner be also completed within the aforesaid period. The decision so arrived at shall also be communicated to the petitioner. 3 The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
